Frequently Asked Questions
Mailing List: I have a list from... Can I use it?
InfoBureau has very strict permission policy. This is so important, because not complying with our anti-spam rules can actually land you in legal trouble. Spam is any email you send to someone who hasn't given you their direct permission to contact them on the topic of the email. More on this...
InfoBureau Newsletter: Who will be shown as the "sender" of my InfoBureau newsletter - (i.e., will it come from my name or a generic name)?
There are two pieces of information shown on the from section of any email - the From Name and the From Email Address.
We recommend that the 'From Name' be a 'real and familiar name' - probably a principal in your company. A familiar 'from name' implies a personal relationship with the potential customer and encourages the recipient to respond.
The 'From Email Address' can be your email address, or we can supply with your own company InfoBureau email address (for example, acme_newsletter@infobureau.com). Warning: If you use your own email address, you should expect emails from auto-responders (i.e. out-office messages, etc).
InfoBureau Newsletter: How will my branded InfoBureau look like?
Our default newsletter template consists of several sections, we then add your logo displayed twice on the top portion and create an About Us section of the newsletter. The top portion is where you include your business promotions, press releases, or any messages you want to share with your subscribers.
Here are some examples, NPRG InfoBureau Newsletter, SPSGZ InfoBureau Newsletter, JMR InfoBureau Newsletter
InfoBureau Newsletter: Can we modify sections headings (i.e., Industry Updates to Business News, remove Technology and Trends, etc)?
Absolutely! When you sign-up for your InfoBureau Newsletter, we immediately develop a draft template and brand it with your company logo. You will need to review the draft template and make changes you deem necessary to fit your business needs. We can also customize your InfoBureau newsletter, where for a small extra charge we will create a unique design template to your complete satisfaction.
InfoBureau Newsletter: What day will you send my InfoBureau Newsletter?
You may elect for a monthly or bi-monthly delivery of your newsletter.
Based on studies, the best days to send out newsletter emails are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We schedule your InfoBureau Newsletter deliveries on these days to maximize exposure and engagement from your readers.
InfoBureau Newsletter: I'm interested! But how does the process work, and where do I sign up?
On our signup form, you will be asked to supply information about your company, market and industry as a whole. We create a company profile based on this initial information. This enables us to identify relevant news items for your InfoBureau newsletter. We collect messages you want to share and promote about your business for edition of your newsletter, and combine this with current relevant industry news.
After delivery of your newsletter, we review and collect statistics on how your newsletter is performing. Our goal is to improve engagement with your audience so we adjust content and messages if necessary.
To sign up, simply click on the sign up link and provide your information on the form. No credit cards required.
Reports and Statistics: Can I review email statistics and reports at my own time?
Absolutely! InfoBureau comes with an comprehensive reporting and analytics tool to help you monitor your newsletters and subscribers. Login using your supplied username and password on InfoBureau's homepage.
My Own Email Campaign: Can I use your service to create and send my own email campaigns to my subscriber list?
Absolutely! Indicate on the sign-up form that you wish to create, design and send your own campaigns.
My Own Email Campaign: What is the cost of sending my own campaigns?
As always, our pricing is very simple. To create and send your own campaign, your cost is $15 delivery fee plus 2 cents per recipient. Let's say you're sending your own campaign to a list of 1000 email addresses. To send this email, your cost will be $15 plus 2 cents for each recipient, $20 in this case, making a total of $30.
Payment: Do you offer a trial period?
Yes, your first InfoBureau Newsletter campaign is free. The trial campaign is limited to 100 subscribers.
Payment: When do I pay?
You only pay after your newsletter has been sent to your subscribers. After your newsletter is delivered, you will receive an email invoice. You can pay using a credit card, or a check. Payment is due upon receipt of invoice.
Payment: What is your policy on refunds?
Sorry, but unfortunately we do not provide refunds.
Junk/Spam Folder: Will this email likely be filtered into people’s Junk Mail folders? Is there a way to help manage and fight the SPAM programs?
Spam filters commonly work under a score system that assigns positive (spam) and negative (not spam) scores to a list of trigger words or phrases. Your InfoBureau newsletter provides valuable content to your audience, so we designed our filtering process to identify news content and articles that can be considered as spam and NOT include them.
Proprietary Information: Are these stories OK to include or are they "proprietary" information?
Our sources for news contents and articles are either publicly available, or contributed by our partners with their permission to publish. We do NOT include proprietary information on InfoBureau newsletters.
